I decided to create a new blog after my friends found my previous one. Anyway, I doubt anything I wrote there was particularly good. I should introduce myself and outline some things.
- My name's George and I'm an 18 year old student taking maths, further maths, physics and history at A-level.
- I aspire to do maths at university. I have absolutely no idea what I'm going to do after that - so I'll default to academia for now, or maybe a statistical analyst of some kind. In the end, I'm doing maths for fun. I currently have an offer for maths at Queens' College Cambridge.
- My knowledge at the moment is regrettably not very broad. My study, and work on Pr∞fWiki, is mainly centred around (complex) analysis. The content of this blog, at least initially, will reflect this. As someone who largely prefers to think than do, I plan to do (more) reading in statistics, abstract algebra, topology and at some point measure theory. (so I can understand the more abstract integration theorems properly, instead of just quoting them)
- Basically every page will use a more portable version of LATEX, called MathJax, for which you will need JavaScript enabled.
